Clarence "Moon" Munden

Moon is one of the Manteo connections, now hailing from Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of NC.  

Clarence started playing guitar in 1964. He has always, since his early childhood, loved to sing along with family members and friends. After learning the basic chords on guitar, he got some of his classmates from grade school together and started a band. 

Over the next five decades, Munden has had the opportunity to perform with many fine musicians. He’s been fortunate enough to join groups that were up to the touring level of play, Sutter’s Gold Streak Band, Five Star Band, Out ‘N the Cold, Beach Box Bandits, and now Manteo Murphy. Ironically, two of the members of Manteo Murphy and Moon are former members of these bands and are still performing together after all these years . We plan to do so until we come to the end of the line.
